About Us
South West Agronomy (SWA for short) began operating in 2011 based in Warrnambool in South West Victoria to provide farmers with an independent source of agronomy guidance for their farming business. The overall philosophy of the business is to provide individual growers and corporate farmers with agronomy support that is right for them, without bias of sales targets and other commercial distractions that can interfere with agronomy when supplied by store based sales agronomists.
While the name suggests that agronomy is the main focus of the SWA there are several aspects to what services are available;

David Wisewould Background
Coming from a broad acre farming family farm, agronomy has been my passion and drove my career direction. After completion of a Bachelor of Agriculture degree with the University of Melbourne, I worked in crop and pasture agronomy, hybrid seed production, conducted R&D for a pasture seed company and set up my independent agronomy consulting business South West Agronomy in 2010. I work in dairy pasture agronomy, dairy farm modelling, high rainfall cropping, beef and sheep grazing systems, and run contract R&D trials.
